Design and build for a new 33kv electrical connection (approx. 9km) between the new Agratas Gigafactory and National Grid / National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) Bridgwater Substation.
The works will take place in two phases for minimum disruption;
Phase 1 – Civils duct installation
Phase 2 – HV cable installation

Remainder of works to be completed in new year. Due to teams working 24/7, we have ensured no single lane closures are required in the new year.

Duct installation works update on the A39 Bath Road, teams have been working 7 days a week to progress works along affected area, currently under a one way directional closure, we are now 42% completion in section.

Works have now commenced on the A39 Bath Road, From Junction Old Bath Road to Crandon Bridge. Excavation and ducting installation works will be ongoing to the expected completion of route section on 15/11/24. Site cleared interval for carnival from 30/10 – 03/11. To undertake our works safely we will be working within a one-way directional closure with access to Bridgwater Southbound only as required by the local authority highways department, we apologise for any delays in advance.

Works to start on Bower Lane, from Blackberry Way (New Housing Estate) to 40 meters east of Polden Bower School, excavation and ducting installation works are planned to take place from 09/09/24 -30/12/24, with site cleared interval for carnival from 30/10 – 03/11. To undertake our works safely we will be working within road closures over 5 sperate sections to allow access to residents, VMS digital boards will be displayed throughout the works duration giving clear notice of access to from either side of Bower Lane as required by the local authority highways department.
