Role Description

To lead all activities to ensure all training delivered is quality assured, and to develop the offering at the school, by building external revenue and becoming a trainer of choice within the construction and utilities industry.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A qualified trainer, currently within the construction or related industry
  • Experience of delivering EUSR training
  • Train the trainer qualification

General Duties

  • Develop a three-year business plan to broaden the scope and increase revenue for the school.
  • Develop and present client presentations to build up the school’s external client portfolio.
  • Explore collaborations with national training providers to become a third-party supplier.
  • Work with the Head of HR to establish the Training Centre budget for the financial year, with stretch revenue targets.
  • Research and identify best practice initiatives and deliver as appropriate.
  • Lead on accreditation requirements for the business in relation to technical development.
  • Conduct staff appraisals and create development plans for the trainers to meet the business objectives of the school.
  • Ensure quality assurance by regularly auditing the delivery of courses and evaluating course feedback.
  • Carry out market research to determine pricing schedules for quotes and promotions.
  • Develop bespoke training solutions and add-on services to businesses, example competency matrices, in-house training provision.
  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
  • Liaise with the Head of Comms to develop a marketing strategy.
  • Working strategically to plan a training calendar for the school.
  • Train the trainers and continually review our offering.

  • Ensure the JSM Group brand is promoted positively and proactively.
  • Lead the training school team and keep them appraised with plans for the school with regular team meetings and events.
  • Support with any ad hoc duties as and when required.
