Role Description:

 

An exciting position has arisen for a NWRSA Trainer to Join JSM’s new Training School. This is a full-time role working from our Training School in Barking. We are prepared to offer a competitive salary depending on experience and qualifications. The training element of the position is to give all staff and candidates the skills, under pinning knowledge, and industry understanding, along with all the practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. In line with the delivery of the complete NRSWA suite for both Supervisors & Operatives (units 1-16) accreditation training. The Training Specialist will assist the Training General Manager in the development, delivery and quality assurance of all learning and development material. Alongside the delivery of courses and company inductions in accordance with the company policies and mission statement. The development work will relate to the ongoing, long term continuous personal development and improvement of employees and candidates so that they can fulfil their own potential and operational role within that organisation. The training specialist is also responsible for developing and measuring of comprehensive training packages that encompasses both elements in order to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • NRSWA Streetworks Unit 1-9 & 10-16
  • D32 / D33 or AI
  • Competent in use of MS office suite
  • L3/4 Training and Development Qualification CTLLS/E. A. T. S (desired or equivalent)
  • Qualifications in construction/utility industry (desired or equivalent)
  • EUSR Trainer accredited (Desired) Governing Body accredited

Principle Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Identifying learning and development needs within JSM through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with senior managers
  • Designing and developing learning and development programs based on industry standards and on individual training needs analysis .
  • Working in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties within JSM Group, including line managers and senior managers
  • Devising individual learning plans
  • Producing training materials for courses and inductions
  • Delivery of learning and development programs
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees by using questionnaires along with discussions and occupational based audits in line with line manager requirements.
  • Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
  • Produce training materials and manuals for courses
  • Keep up to date with developments in training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Provide material to the training manager for reports for both the HR director and board of directors on training issues such as noncompliance and skills gaps.
  • Maintain personal CPD and knowledge on all industry standards
