Principal Duties and Accountabilities

Following a period of significant growth and success, JSM is looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to work with the organisation to review, enhance and embed best practice HR processes to support JSM on its next phase of growth. You will support HR leadership in strategy creation and execution alongside hands on management of day to day HR requirements.

As Senior HR Business Partner you will perform a broad role, touching almost every aspect of what we do as a team, you will balance business requirements and priorities with your HR expertise to create value and support the business through growth.

You will partner with both employees and leaders, offering guidance and support, recommending solutions where necessary as well as clearly communicating relevant HR initiatives to business leaders. Your success will be measured against your ability to offer seamless HR support (internationally in some areas), adapting your approach and processes based on the requirements of the business and compliance.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • CIPD Level 5 or above
  • You have great HR Generalist Experience and have led complex employee relations cases
  • You have experience working in multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity & inclusion and performance management.
  • You have experience in Construction, Utilities, or similar sector.
  • You have hands on experience in HR within European jurisdictions.
  • You may have experience working in a PE environment.

General Duties

  • You will support and contribute the delivery of the HR strategy in line with business and group strategy, objectives and the company mission and vision.
  • You will work in partnership with leaders to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved organisational and people performance in line with business needs
  • You will collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and Leadership to support talent selection process, ensuring proper talent capabilities and bench strengths are added to the company as well as onboard new team members
  • You will act as the first line of contact in Human Resources for all levels as well as support junior team members on employee relations issues involving employees at all levels of the business across the organisation
  • You will support, develop and coach managers in conjunction with the HR team to process employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievances, performance management, redundancy and absence management, using policies, procedures and best practice, ideally resolving issues informally where possible
  • You will support with employee engagement initiatives and work with managers on action plans to improve employee engagement and retention and put forward key ideas for employee engagement in HR strategy
  • You will conduct annual legal review of region specific policies and procedures and be the day to day liaison with CIPD/ACAS/Legal team for any ER issues that require additional support
