JSM was selected to connect the main Data Centres within London Docklands area with diverse fibre connectivity for a high profile end user. The network was designed with 864 Fibre Optic cable capacity and utilising a ring architecture with multiple entry/exits into each building for network diversity and resilience.
JSM delivered this project on a full turnkey basis from initial survey of external networks, buildings through to cable installation, splicing and testing for client handover. JSM produced RAMS and all cable routing packs for client permit applications and access requirements.
Key Project Deliverables
- Cable installation of 10Km 864 Fibre (loose tube and ribbon) both internal and external
- Installation and splicing of external joint closures and ODF terminations – Total splice count 18,864
- Test result packages consisting of bi-directional OTDR Traces and ILM results, total results 6,912.
JSM overcame many access restrictions and permits issues during the works. All sites had multiple access and permits systems and the external network is on private land which increased the complications. JSM delivered the project with very aggressive timelines and completed within a three month programme.
